For example, if you would like 1 night in Irkutsk, 4 nights in Ulan Bator and 3 nights in Beijing, we can recommend hotels in each city ranging from 3 to 5 stars and book them for you. Visas
A visa is required for all the countries you pass through, even if you are only in transit. Visas for Belarus, Russia, Mongolia and China are all obtainable via our visa service. Please refer to page 40 for further information.

Flights
Some people do not do the whole journey by rail and prefer to fly from Moscow to Irkutsk before continuing to Vladivostok, Ulan Bator or Beijing by train. We can arrange this aspect of your trip as well as providing your international flights departing from and to the UK. Please contact us for a competitive quote for your international and domestic flights.
Excursions
There is a range of guided optional excursions you can take from city tours at each stop-off to open-air museums, cultural experiences such as dining with Mongolian nomads and staying in ger camps. For more details, please visit our website or call our reservations office.
Pre-and post-tour destinations
A ferry service operates from Vladivostok to Japan and prices are available on request. This service operates all year round and to the jorney lasting 2 nights. For more pre and post tour extensions such as St Petersburg, Beijing and North Korea, please refer to page 36.
