Stop at Citrusdal, Orange River and the huge Fish River Canyon. *plus Local Payment US$930 PhySical culture Shock Tread upon burnt orange sands in the arid area of Sossusvlei. Take walks among the dunes, admiring the incredible landscapes. Swakopmund brims with exciting optional sports like sand boarding. Days 8-15 Namibia/Botswana Travel along the windswept Atlantic coast to see the 80,000-odd seals at Cape Cross. Head to the giant salt pan of Etosha and camp close to a floodlit waterhole that provides exciting night time game viewing. At Windhoek stock up on supplies before travelling across the Kalahari, Ghanzi bushman territory. Explore the waterways of Okavango Delta by canoe and on foot. Its intricate floodplain of channels supports animals such as crocodiles, antelopes and hippos. Days 16-20 Botswana/Zambia Elephants dot the savannah landscape of the Chobe National Park and big cats are not hard to find. An early morning game drive is a chance to witness predators in action and a river cruise reveals sharp-taloned fish eagles scanning the waters for food. In Livingstone, listen for the distant rumble of the impressive Victoria Falls. Days 21-25 Botswana/South africa/ Johannesburg Continue south through Chobe and Francistown to Kruger National Park. Days 3-4 kruger National Park The wildlife experience begins on passing through the gates of Kruger. An open vehicle night drive is a chance to see the savannahs most secretive animals. Enjoy a traditional braai (barbeque) around a campfire. An early morning breakfast of rusks and coffee will kickstart a day of game viewing and bird watching. Day 5 hlane royal National Park Enjoy Swazi song and dance at a cultural village visit before continuing on to Hlane to track white rhinos on foot. Listen out for the rumbling roar of lions, the symbol of this tiny kingdom. Days 6-7 Ponta d'ouro Cross the border into Mozambique, home to 2,500 km of stunning sandy coastline with jade waters full of tropical fish. Spend the evening on the banks of Lake St Lucia, home to a remarkable diversity of species, from the worlds oldest fish to the worlds largest land mammal - the coelacanth and the elephant. Day 9 Durban The inviting sands of Durban are the golden finale of this exploration.
