arid north of the country. In this region, the local Samburu are easily identified by their resplendent clothes and ornate jewellery. Spend two nights in a lodge on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River which offers a view of crocodiles from the veranda. Look out for giraffes, zebras, gerenuks and oryx on safari in Samburu National Park. Day 4 aberdare National Park Stay at the famous Treetops Hotel in the heart of Aberdare National Park. Featuring panoramic views of the forest and waterholes below, there are opportunities for superb game viewing both night and day. Buffaloes, rhinos and giant forest hogs are common visitors around the hotel so keep an eye out. Day 5 lake Nakuru Head west to Lake Nakuru National Park in the heart of the Rift Valley. The lake is justly famous for its visiting flocks of flamingos, pelicans and cormorants but land animals are well represented also. Rare Rothschilds giraffes, and black and white rhinos all flourish within the park boundaries. Days 6-7 Masai Mara One of Africas most famous reserves, the Masai Mara is a landscape of undulating plains and riverine woodland. The vegetation sustains buffaloes, gazelles and myriad other herbivores. In turn, these creatures are food for black-maned lions, leopards, cheetahs and other stealthy predators. Drive out at dusk or dawn to catch great cats and other wildlife in action. Day 8 Nairobi Make a return to the countrys capital.
" spot creatures of the night in aberdare National Park " experience untamed african wilderness " Be spellbound by the famous flamingos of lake Nakuru
Manch, Founder& I have always enjoyed visiting the game parks of east Africa. They are superb! And what better way to finish each days activity than relaxing in a comfortable lodge.

foothills of Mt Kenya. There is an opportunity to learn more about these and other nomadic communities on a village tour. Within the Samburu National Reserve, look out for endangered Grevys zebras and crocs submerged in the muddy waters of the Ewaso Nyiro River that meanders through the otherwise-parched landscape. Day 4 lake Nakuru Witness one of the worlds greatest spectacles: thousands of pink flamingos and other water birds feeding in the shallow waters of Lake Nakuru. An afternoon game drive provides a look at the parks four-legged attractions, including Rothschilds giraffes. Day 5 lake Naivasha Spend the morning watching hippos and buffaloes wallow in lakeside swamps and listen out for the chatter of black and white colobus monkeys in the treetops. A free afternoon can be spent cruising on the lake, spotting the many bird species that live here. Days 6-7 Masai Mara A mid-afternoon visit to one of the finest game reserves in Kenya offers the chance to see one of Africas big cats and the magnificent animals that make up a major part of the savannah food chain. With everything from elephants and wildebeest to jackals and hyenas, the variety of wildlife in the famed Masai Mara is breathtaking. For a truly special safari experience its possible to take an early morning balloon ride to watch the wild park come to life at sunrise. Day 8 Nairobi Return to the safari capital of the world, Nairobi.
