Day 4 oodnadatta track Follow the historic camel route into the desert and visit the Arabunna Aboriginal Centre to learn about culture and local history. Down an ice-cold beer in an outback pub. Day 5 coober Pedy Explore the underground world of Coober Pedy. Day 6 simpson Desert Head into one of Australias most remote and beautiful arid regions. Days 7-8 uluru (ayers rock) Be wowed by the sight of Uluru. Hike around the rock to find out about its spiritual importance and admire how the changing light affects its colours. Day 9 kata tjuta National Park (the olgas) Hike the fabulous Valley Of The Winds before another evening spent camping under the stars, among red sand dunes. Day 10 Watarrka National Park (kings canyon) Sandstone domes, towering cliffs and refreshing rockpools are the highlights of a Kings Canyon hike. Stand in a huge comet crater or go in search of the elusive Thorny Devil. Day 11 Western MacDonnell ranges/ alice springs Travel along the Western MacDonnell Ranges, have a swim at Simpson Gap before entering Alice Springs.
