Brimming with exotic wildlife and ancient Aboriginal sites, Kakadu National Park is a captivating place to explore. See centuries-old rock paintings at Nouriangie Rock, depicting many bush creatures including barramundi, goannas, possums and wallabies. Take the half-day Murdudjurl Cultural Tour to learn about the culture, customs and history of the local Aboriginal people before falling asleep under the stars. After an early breakfast, enjoy another big day out, taking 4WDs over some of the regions most remote terrain to Twin Falls. Rainwater-fed, the waterfall flows only during the wet, but the plunge pool remains breathtaking all year-round. These falls are accessible only by water; we take a short but spectacular boat ride through the gorge to the beach at the base of the falls, stopping on secluded stretch of beach for a picnic lunch. Hike through steamy rainforest to the cascading waters of Jim Jim Falls, the parks most iconic sight. Swimming in the deep blue pool is possible, but be wary of crocodiles! Day 4 Darwin Cruise along the Yellow Waters billabong, looking out for birdlife and saltwater crocs. Soak up the scenic beauty of the Ubirr Rock escarpments and panoramic views over Kakadu before hitting the Arnhem Highway back to Darwin.
