morocco colours of morocco ORIgINAl 15 days, Casablanca to Marrakesh Departs every Sun & selected Wed & Fri itiNerary... Day 1 casablanca Wander amid faded French architecture and enjoy the colour and chaos of the souqs in this romantic city. Day 2 Meknes Take a stroll through the former pi*plus Local Payment EU¬300 Physical culture shock rate stronghold of Rabat and see its serene Old Quarter en route to Meknes, a former capital during Moroccos last golden age. Days 3-4 Fes Travel back to the days of the Roman Empire on a guided tour at the ruins of Volubilis. In medieval Fes, wander the labyrinthine alleys of the medina and listen to the call to prayer overlooking the Old Town at sunset. Day 5 Midelt Journey through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas to the town of Midelt and learn about farming life in the area. Along the way, visit a handicraft workshop run by Franciscan nuns - a great place to pick up a souvenir and contribute to the local community. Day 6 Desert camp After a camel ride into the desert, feast by an open fire in the company of locals. Fall asleep tonight in this desert camp, surrounded by a shifting sea of sand dunes. Days 7-8 todra Gorge Wake early and watch the sunrise over the desert before heading to massive Todra Gorge. For the energetic, there is the option of trekking into the gorge the next day for spectacular views and boundless photo opportunities. Otherwise, take a walk through the pretty palmeraies or just chill out with a refreshing glass of mint tea. Day 9 ait Benhaddou Pass through Moroccos film capital, Ouarzazate, on the way to the ancient fortified city of Ait Benhaddou. Explore the streets of this clay kasbah at a relaxed pace and finish off the day with a meal of the best couscous in the country. Day 10 high atlas Mountains Perched on a rocky outcrop, remote Armed, near the village of Imlil, offers panoramic views as well as a chance to experience traditional Berber culture. Days 11-12 essaouira With its whitewashed houses and colourful fishing boats, Essaouira is a gem. Get acquainted with the towns fascinating history on a walk through the Old Town, then theres free time to wander along the beach and dine on fresh seafood. Days 13-15 Marrakesh This city is full of vibrant colours.
