Travel insurance
A relaxing and carefree holiday for you and your family is our top priority. Your protection is so important that we make it a condition of booking that you supply details of the insurance cover you have in place, in order to ensure that your policy matches the benets that our scheme provides. Whilst it is your responsibility to obtain adequate insurance for all members of your party, we will be very happy to help you with our specially tailored travel insurance package, which is simple to understand and sensibly priced.
Insurance Benets
To declare a Pre-existing Medical Condition or a change in your state of health or prescribed medication, you should contact Citybond Suretravels Medical Screening Department, Healthcheck247, at www.Healthcheck247.com/JV, or telephone them on 0845 618 0343 and quote James Villas (Mon. to Fri. 9.30am to 5.00pm, Sat 9.30am to 12.30pm). Please note that calls to Healthcheck247 may be monitored or recorded for audit or training purposes. Note: A Pre-Existing Medical Condition is considered to be: condition, injury or symptom of which you are aware for which you have required treatment, medical consultation(s), prescribed medication or follow-ups at any time during the 2 years prior to the commencement of cover under this policy and/or prior to the trip; angina, chest pain, palpitations, any other heart condition, hypertension (raised blood pressure), blood clots, raised cholesterol); any cerebrovascular problems (e.g. stroke, transient ischaemic attack, brain haemorrhage), of which you are aware, that have occurred at any time prior to the commencement of cover under this policy and/or prior to the trip. (A full denition is shown in the policy document.) Policy Document The policy wording gives you full details of what is and what is not covered and what to do if you need to claim. It is very important that you read the whole of this policy before you travel and make sure the cover is suitable for you. Please make sure that you take it on holiday with you in case of an emergency. A copy of the policy wording is available on request. Policy Limits Each section of the policy shows the most you can claim but other limits may apply. For example, under the Personal Possessions Section there are other specic limits for any one item and for valuables (including photographic equipment). If you intend to take expensive items with you please check that you are fully covered. Conditions and Exclusions Your policy does not cover all possible events and expenses. There are conditions and exclusions that apply to individual sections of the policy and general conditions and exclusions that apply to the whole policy. Hazardous Activities If you are going to take part in any hazardous sports or activities you should check that the policy covers you.
Important Information about your personal travel insurance
Insurer This insurance is arranged by Citybond Suretravel, underwritten by Elvia Travel Insurance International N.V. (Netherlands) and administered in the United Kingdom by Mondial Assistance (UK) Limited. Telling us about relevant facts Before you travel you must tell us about anything that may affect your cover. If you do not tell us about something that may be relevant, your cover may be refused and we may not cover any related claims. Health Requirements Your policy contains restrictions regarding Pre-Existing Medical Conditions of the people travelling and of other people upon whose health the trip may depend. YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ YOUR POLICY CAREFULLY and to read the information below and to sign the insurance declaration on the booking form. The James Villas Travel Insurance operates on the basis that all Insured Persons are not travelling against medical advice or with the intention of obtaining medical treatment abroad. No claim arising directly or indirectly from a Pre-Existing Medical Condition affecting an Insured Person will be covered unless: (on behalf of the Underwriters); and prescribed medication; and change in condition for insurance in writing prior to departure.
Cancellation Rights If your cover does not meet your requirements, please return the documentation within 14 days of receipt and your premium will be refunded in full unless you have travelled made a claim or intend to make a claim. Please note that your cancellation rights are no longer valid after this initial 14 day period. Policy Excess Under some sections of your policy, you will have to pay an excess. This means that you will be responsible for paying the rst part of the claim for each person insured, for each section, for each incident. The amount you have to pay is the excess. Making a Complaint The policy contains a complaints procedure which tells you what steps you can take if you wish to make a complaint Governing Law Unless agreed otherwise, English law will apply and all communication and documentation in relation to this policy will be in English. Premiums The premiums for this insurance have been specially negotiated on your behalf. All premiums include Insurance Premium Tax at the current rate of 17.5%.
