On the beach
The beautiful coastline of the Côte dAzur has long emitted a golden glow, bathed in warm Mediterranean sunshine and the riches of its glamorous residents. Venture inland into the backdrop of scenic mountains however, and you will be warmly welcomed into another world. Rich in tradition and culture, tiny medieval villages continue as they have done for centuries, with a quiet afternoon game of boules, or an evening stroll around the square welcome to the real France.

The picturesque harbours of the Côte dAzur are interspersed with pebbly inlets and stretches of golden sand that represent some of the most glamorous beaches in the world. Head to the beautiful Frejus and Antibes areas for the best sandy beaches, whilst the beach along La Croisette Cannes golden mile of prime seafront hotels and restaurants is the place to be seen.

Carqueiranne - 30 mins from Toulon Q

A small sandy beach sits quietly by the waters edge, and behind the village, the National Park de LEsterel has over two hundred kilometres of hillside walks and mountain bike trails amid magnificent scenery.
Pick a seafront bar in any of the famous local towns, such as Cannes, Nice or Antibes, to watch the world go by and perhaps a film star or two. Pack a picnic and relax in the grassy park at Fréjus, beneath the remarkable Roman aqueduct. Take a day away from the beaches and shop til you drop in Cannes, home of the designer boutique. Cross the border into the tiny principality of Monaco for the day to admire the luxury yachts and drive some of the famous streets that make up the Monte Carlo Formula One circuit. Head inland to the town of Vence to shop for local produce such as soaps, perfumes and flowers.

Local cuisine Sitting in the heart of the Esterel National Park, St. Jean de Cannes sits on the old coaching road between Mandelieu - La Napoule and Frejus. The panorama is simply stunning take one of the signposted walks and admire the dramatic red rocks and sparkling Mediterranean on the horizon. La Napoule and the Bay of Cannes with its wonderful beaches are only a short drive away, and access to autoroutes is ideal for exploring the inland beauty of the area. Beautiful local villages and culture are close at hand to enjoy and admire.

Local cuisine Enjoying unforgettable views of the Esterel and Maures massifs and the Mediterranean, the tranquil town of Valescure well deserves its good reputation. Taking its name from the Roman Vallis Curans or Valley of Healing, Valescure is a prestigious residential area, in a beautiful green setting with umbrella pine trees. In the area you will find two great golf courses, and a few minutes drive will bring you to the beautiful beaches of Frejus and St. Raphael.
