Treat yourself to a weekend with a difference. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings of a French château together with an included excursion to the famous gardens created by the renowned artist, Claude Monet, and the inspiration for some of his most famous works
YOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1 - Local departure by coach and a mid-morning crossing to Calais. Arrival at your hotel late afternoon for a three night stay. Welcome drink and dinner included. DAY 2 - Free to relax and join our optional half day excursion to Château Chantilly. Visit the chapel and the Great Stables, one of Chantillys finest 18th century buildings. Take a tour of the château and enjoy a stroll around the magnificent gardens. In the evening join our optional Paris by Night tour. Enjoy dinner in a Parisian restaurant followed by a coach tour of the city to view the wonderfully illuminated architecture and sample the atmosphere of the city by night. The glittering lights of the Eiffel Tower against the night sky are not to be missed. DAY 3 - Join our included full day excursion to Monets Garden to see the beautiful house and gardens of the famous artist Claude Monet at Giverny. Monet planted and painted here from 1883 to 1926 and the garden is most famous for its water lily pool. It is filled with water lilies in crimson, mauve, pink, yellow and white, and inspired him to paint one of his most famous works the Water Lilies. Dont miss the beautiful Japanese bridge hung with wisteria and other delightful features. This evening there will be a farewell get-together. DAY 4 - After a morning departure you visit the popular seaside resort of Le Touquet, a charming town set amid beautiful countryside on the estuary of the Canche, before reaching Calais in time for a late afternoon crossing back to the UK. Return to your original departure point in the evening.
