Croatia is home to some of the most magnificent coastal scenery in Europe. Warm blue waters, a friendly welcome plus ancient history add up to make it a place like no other. With a superb four star hotel in the wonderful resort of Opatija on the Kvarner Peninsula, this is a holiday to remember.
Opatija has been a popular holiday resort since the 19th century and retains an unmistakable air of grandeur, with a lovely seafront promenade known as the Lungomare, a marina, marvellous gardens, a good range of shops and a selection of restaurants and bars. Its the ideal place from which to discover the delights of Croatias rugged Istrian Peninsula and nearby Slovenia On the final evening enjoy a farewell get-together. DAY 8 - Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.

The splendid four star Grand Hotel Adriatic is ideally located and only a ten minute walk from the centre of Opatija just a couple of minutes to the Lungomore promenade. The hotel enjoys stunning views over beautiful Kvarner Bay, and benefits from an excellent range of amenities, including a restaurant, offering a good selection of buffet style meals. There is also a bar, casino, indoor swimming pool, sauna, massage, hairdresser, tennis courts and a small beach area with restaurant. Each of the comfortable bedrooms has private facilities, satellite TV, airconditioning, minibar, safe and hairdryer.
YOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1 - Meet your travelling companions at your chosen airport and depart on your flight to Pula or Rijeka. On arrival transfer to Opatija for a seven night stay. Enjoy a welcome drink and dinner this evening. DAYS 2 TO 7 - Free to relax and enjoy our excursion programme. The following excursions are included: Rovinj and Porec - A full day excursion visiting the beautiful town of Rovinj, one of the prettiest in Europe. Enjoy the scenic panorama of the marina, the old town and Katerina Island. Then its on to charming Porec, where you can watch the boats come and go and take a stroll thorough the attractive old quarter. Ljubljana - This full day excursion takes you to the delightful capital of Slovenia. Ljubljana is a historic city, whose medieval heritage and baroque buildings blend well with more recent art nouveau designs. Enjoy a walking tour and see the famous Tromostovje or Triple Bridge, the old town and the imposing Ljubljanski Castle, which sits atop a hill overlooking the city and was once home to the ruling Habsburg family. The following excursions are optional: Postojna Caves and Lipica Stud Farm - A full day excursion visiting the breathtaking Postojna Caves with their incredible grottos of stalactites and stalagmites, and then the Lipica Stud Farm where the famous white Lipizzaner horses are bred. Panorama Cruise - A lovely half day boat trip across the bay of Opatija to the village of Lovran for free time, before we cruise back across to Volosko and finally Opatija, allowing you beautiful views of the whole Riviera from the sea. The Island of Krk - A three quarter day excursion to the marvelous island of Krk, where we have free time to explore the old fortified town. Then its back on board for an included picnic lunch of fish, salad and wine. Return along the coast via Rijeka back to Opatija.
