Our grand tour begins in Warsaw, the busy capital of Poland, followed by the ever popular historical city of Krakow. Next we discover the twin delights of Buda and Pest on the majestic River Danube before reaching elegant Vienna and ending our unforgettable journey in the Golden City of Prague.
YOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1 - Meet your travelling companions at Gatwick and depart on your scheduled flight to Warsaw. On arrival transfer to your hotel for a 2 night stay. Enjoy a welcome drink before dinner this evening. DAY 2 - Our morning city tour of Warsaw takes us to see all major historical buildings on a walk along the Royal Way, followed by free time to explore further. Tonight enjoy dinner and a piano concert at the Royal Baths Palace. DAY 3 - Enjoy a relaxing morning, before we step aboard the train and travel first class through the beautiful Mazovian region to Krakow. Drinks and snacks will be served on board. On our arrival this evening we transfer to the hotel for dinner and a three night stay. DAY 4 - Our walking tour of Krakows old town accompanied by a local guide takes in such wonderful sights as the Wawel Royal Castle, the celebrated Cloth Hall, the beautiful old Kanonicze Street, and the magnificent Market Square, dominated by St. Marys Church. This afternoon relax or join our optional excursion to the impressive Wieliczka Salt Mine. Dinner at the hotel. DAY 5 - Today we include a full day excursion to Zakopane in the spectacular Tatra Mountains. DAY 6 - Relax or join our moving optional excursion to Auschwitz. After dinner, we board the train for the overnight journey to Budapest. Sleeping accommodation will be provided in three berth compartments with wash basins. Toilets are located in each carriage. DAY 7 - We arrive in Budapest this morning and have a guided city tour before reaching the hotel for an overnight stay. We will see the major sights on both sides of the river including Heroess Square, the Fishermans Bastion and St. Matthias Church. Dinner this evening is accompanied by music and a folklore show. DAY 8 - Free morning or enjoy an optional cruise on the Danube, before boarding the train to Vienna. On arrival we transfer to the hotel for dinner and a two night stay. DAY 9 - Join our included morning sightseeing tour of Vienna, with free time this afternoon. DAY 10 - We take the train to Prague arriving early afternoon and transfer to the hotel for a two night stay including dinner and a folklore show at a local restaurant this evening. DAY 11 - Morning walking tour of Pragues old town with an official guide. The afternoon is free for shopping or exploring further, before the coach takes us back to the hotel. Enjoy a farewell get-together this evening. DAY 12 - Transfer to the airport for your return flight to Heathrow.
