This exciting two-centre holiday offers you the best of beautiful southern Poland. The old city of Krakow is a delight and contrasts wonderfully with a stay in the mountain resort of Zakopane.
YOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1 - Meet your travelling companions at the airport and depart on your scheduled flight to Krakow. On arrival transfer to your hotel for a three night stay. This evening enjoy a welcome drink before dinner. DAY 2 - Morning free in Krakow with an included walking tour of the old town. The magnificent Market Square is the heart of the city and other places of interest include the Wawel Palace and the beautiful old Kanonicze Street. The afternoon is free to explore or why not join our optional half day excursion to the incredible Wieliczka Salt Mine. DAY 3 - Free in Krakow or join our optional excursion to Auschwitz. This moving full day tour visits the largest of the Nazi concentration camps. DAY 4 - Depart for the alpine town of Zakopane for a four night stay. Zakopane lies at the foot of the Tatra Mountains and is one of Polands best known mountain resorts. Over the years it has grown from a tiny village into a popular holiday centre, yet has retained its strong local traditions and folklore customs. DAYS 5 TO 7 - At leisure with a choice of excursions. Enjoy our included tour of Zakopane. This leisurely half day trip includes a tour around the town and a scenic drive through the surrounding pine-clad mountains. The following excursions are optional: Morskie Oko Lake - The biggest lake in the Polish Tatra Mountains. On this full day excursion we drive through the beautiful Tatra National Park before taking a horse and carriage ride to the town of Wlosienica close to the lake. Traditional Rafts - Take a trip down the Dunajec River and through the Pieniny Gorge on traditional wooden rafts. On the final evening enjoy a farewell get-together. DAY 8 - Transfer from Zakopane to Krakow Airport for your return flight to the UK.

Discover Polands fascinating capital with this special departure and fly back from Warsaw into Heathrow (free transfer back to Gatwick if required). On Day 8 of your main holiday depart from Zakopane by coach for a scenic drive to Krakow. In Krakow you will stay in the comfortable Hotel Chopin or similar. The hotel features a restaurant, bar and lift. In Zakopane you will stay at the three star Hotel Telimena or similar, a short walk from the centre of the town. Facilities at the hotel include restaurant, bar, and café. All bedrooms have private facilities, TV and telephone.
