Malta lies between Sicily and North Africa and yet is only around three hours flying time from the UK. With its warm climate, fascinating history and splendid architecture, Malta has something for everyone. It is an ideal destination all year round, and the Maltese have a traditional fondness for British visitors, with the added advantage that English is widely spoken.
We have chosen the picturesque seaside area of Qawra, and St Pauls Bay for your seven night stay. Located in the north of the island, this lovely spot has grown from a small fishing village into a popular resort with a selection of restaurants and bars. There are plenty of excursion possibilities such as the islands capital, Valletta, with its typical narrow streets, or why not sail across to the picturesque island of Gozo, where the pace of life slows down considerably. On the final evening enjoy a farewell get-together. DAY 8 - Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.

YOUR HOTEL
You will stay in the comfortable four star Dolmen Resort Hotel in the pretty seaside resort area of Qawra. The hotel enjoys a superb position overlooking the Mediterranean and the islands of St Pauls Bay. Facilities at the hotel include garden, private beach, restaurant, bar, bistro, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, gym, Jacuzzi, sauna and hydro bath. On some evenings there will be evening entertainment. Standard bedrooms feature private facilities, air-conditioning, satellite TV, hairdryer, telephone, and most have a balcony. The resort centre with a selection of shops, bars and restaurants is just a short walk along the promenade.
YOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1 - Meet your travelling companions at the airport and depart on your scheduled flight to Malta. On arrival transfer to your hotel in Qawra for a seven night stay. In the evening enjoy a welcome drink followed by dinner. DAYS 2 TO 7 - Free to enjoy our included excursions as follows: Valletta and Malta Experience - A half day tour to the capital of Malta. Valletta is home to one of the worlds finest harbours, along with some excellent shops, bustling markets and great restaurants. This historic city, built by the Knights of St. John, also features some wonderful sights, such as the Cathedral of St. John and the Grand Masters Palace. Blue Grotto and Tarxien Temples - A full day excursion to view these unique underwater caves, carved out by the sea over thousands of years, plus visit the temples of Tarxien. The Three Cities including the Fort Rinellla Re-Enactment Show - This half day tour includes a visit to the richly decorated baroque Church of St Lawrence and the Maritime museum, plus you can enjoy the views of the Grande Harbour and its fortifications from Fort Rinella. The following excursions are optional: Mdina - A full day excursion visiting ancient Mdina, the Silent City. This enchanting medieval settlement is the former capital of Malta and home to the noble families of the island, as well as the impressive Cathedral of St. Paul. Gozo - A full day trip to visit Maltas fascinating sister island of Gozo. After a short ferry trip youll visit the main sights, including the Azure Window at Dwerja, Xlendi Bay and the Citadel at Victoria. Harbour Cruise - A half day cruise around the impressive ports of Marsamxett and the beautiful Valletta Grand Harbour plus shopping time in Sliema.
