One of Europes most popular destinations, Prague is a wonderful city to explore and enjoy. Known as the Golden City, few visitors could fail to be impressed and enchanted by the stunning architecture, the deep sense of history and fascinating traditions of this beautiful city.
From Wenceslas Square, across the sixteen arches of the 14th century Charles Bridge into the old town, Prague is steeped in history on every corner. The historic centre is ideal for exploring on foot and the shops, cafés and bars make it a delightful place to visit.
YOUR HOTEL
You will stay in a comfortable three star hotel such as Ibis Smichov, conveniently located just a short ride on the metro to the centre of the city. The hotel benefits from a lift, restaurant, and a comfortable bar where you will be able to enjoy a relaxing drink in the company of your fellow travellers. YOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1 - Meet your travelling companions at the airport and depart on your scheduled flight to Prague. On arrival transfer to your hotel for a four night stay. In the evening enjoy a welcome drink before dinner. DAYS 2 TO 4 - Free to enjoy our included excursions as follows: Prague City Tour - Take a walking tour of Pragues old town with an official guide in the morning, including Wenceslas Square, the Old Town Square with its famous Astronomical Clock, and the Charles Bridge where you will find local artists selling a variety of their handmade arts and crafts. The afternoon is free for shopping and further sightseeing, before your coach returns you to your hotel. Prague Castle - Enjoy a guided walking tour of the towering Prague Castle, one of the largest inhabited castles in the world. Walk back to the old town via the Golden Lane and the castle walls for free time to explore further at your own pace. Karlstejn Castle - A half day tour to Charles IVs magnificent country castle, approximately 20 miles south-west of Prague. Situated on an impregnable spot where the River Berounka carves through a craggy valley, the fortress was designed to keep relics of saints and the imperial crown jewels secure. The replica crown of St. Wenceslas is on show here. Access to the castle is either by horse and cart or minibus, or for the more energetic, a pleasant walk. Prague Evening Transfer - A return coach transfer from your hotel into the historic centre of Prague so you can experience this vibrant city by night. On the final evening enjoy a farewell get-together. DAY 5 - Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
