With its lovely Mediterranean climate, wide variety of scenery and beautiful beaches, the delightful island of Majorca has something for everyone. This great value holiday gives you time to relax in a popular holiday resort as well as the opportunity to join our included walks which uncover the hidden charms of the island.
YOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1 - Meet your travelling companions at the airport and depart on your scheduled flight to Palma. On arrival transfer to your hotel in Santa Ponsa for a seven night stay. Enjoy a welcome drink and dinner. DAYS 2 TO 7 - Free to relax and enjoy our programme of included excursions: Sa Trappa Walk - On this three-quarter day excursion, we head by coach to the islands north-west coast where we start our exciting and demanding walk to Sa Trappa and the ancient ruins of the nearby monastery. We then head back down the hillside to the picturesque coastal resort of Sant Elm, where the coach will be waiting to take us back to our hotel (approx. 3 hours walk). Palma City Tour - A full day excursion to Majorcas beautiful capital city. We feature a guided walking tour in the morning to see the main sights and also stray off the beaten track to discover a few lesser known attractions (approx. 2½ hours walk). The afternoon is free for you to explore further at your own pace. Soller & Fornalutx - This full day tour features a coach transfer to the city of Palma where we take a wonderful old style train up into the hills to Soller. After free time here we enjoy a walk to the small village of Fornalutx, which nestles in a valley within the Serra de Tramuntana. From here we travel by coach to Lluch to visit the abbey, followed by a short walk into the hills (approx. 2 hours walk). Return to the hotel by coach. Valldemossa & Deią - A visit to this beautiful hilltop town with its pretty narrow streets. Take a walk down to the cove, before the coach takes you to the village of Deią, where you can explore the cobbled streets and hidden alleys. Walk on to Llucalcari, where Picasso once lived (approx. 3 hours walk). Return by coach to the hotel. Inca Market - This three-quarter day trip to the market in the town of Inca gives you a real taste of life in rural Majorca. On the way back to the hotel we visit Santa Maria to enjoy a wine tasting. Enjoy a farewell drink on your final evening. DAY 8 - Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.

YOUR HOTEL
You will stay at the three star rated Club Hotel Pionero, which forms part of a small complex. This spacious hotel offers good accommodation and a range of facilities. You will find a selection of shops, bars and restaurants in the immediate area and the beach is only a short walk away. Facilities include a restaurant, bar, reception, lounge areas, TV room and lift, plus outdoor and indoor swimming pools. There is also a sauna, tennis and volleyball courts. All bedrooms are comfortably furnished and feature private facilities. The hotel provides entertainment on some evenings.
WALKING INFORMATION
Our walks require a reasonable level of fitness and ideally some previous walking experience. You will need comfortable walking boots, a small rucksack, waterproofs, a hat and sunglasses. A local guide will also accompany you on your walks. For details of Walking Grades please see page 35.
