tueSDaY 23rD - Local departure and a mid-morning crossing to Calais. We arrive at our hotel in Vianden this evening and enjoy a welcome drink before dinner. CHriStMaS eVe - After breakfast we leave on our included three-quarter day excursion featuring a panoramic tour of Luxembourg City, one of the most dramatically situated cities in Europe. This remarkable town, which has existed since Roman times, has been influenced over the last five centuries by numerous foreign invaders. The Grand Ducal Palace stands at the heart of the old centre, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is dominated by the historic ruins of Lucilinburhuc Castle and its fortifications. We return to the hotel for a festive Christmas Eve dinner this evening. CHriStMaS DaY - After a leisurely breakfast, join our included scenic drive through the beautiful Mullerthal. With its bizarre rock formations, dense forests and gushing rivers, it deserves its nickname as Luxembourgs Little Switzerland. Tonight we enjoy a festive dinner back at the hotel. BoXinG DaY - Spend a relaxing day or join our optional three-quarter day excursion to visit Germanys oldest town, Trier. We will enjoy a stroll through the historic old centre, overlooked by the Cathedral and the Roman tower known as the Porta Nigra. We will meet up for a farewell get-together at the hotel this evening. SaturDaY 27tH - Depart after breakfast for a late afternoon crossing back to the UK and continue to your original departure point in the evening.
