From your base in the spa town of Bad Kreuznach you will have the chance to explore Germanys delightful Rhineland, famed for its lovely scenery and tempting wines. We include a visit to the charming town of Rüdesheim and also beautiful Boppard, the Pearl of the Rhine. With a New Years Eve party night as well, this is a great way to celebrate the arrival of 2009.
The salt-water springs and thermal baths of Bad Kreuznach have long been known for their beneficial effects. The town is also home to the enchanting Bridge Houses, built in the 15th century, a lovely market square and the impressive Castle Kauzenburg.

tueSDaY 30tH - Local departure and a mid-morning crossing to Calais. Continue into Germany for an evening arrival at your hotel in Bad Kreuznach for a three night stay. Enjoy a welcome drink and dinner this evening. neW YearS eVe - Morning orientation walk through Bad Kreuznach. This afternoon join our included excursion to lovely Rüdesheim, where you can soak up the atmosphere of the Drosselgasse and perhaps enjoy a glass of the local wine. In the evening enjoy a New Years Eve party at the hotel. neW YearS DaY - After a leisurely breakfast join an included three-quarter day excursion by rail to Boppard. We board the train at Andermatt and head east, where the train crosses the 6,560ft high Oberalp Pass.
