This small country, one of the founders of the European Union, is completely landlocked, surrounded by Germany, France and Belgium. We enjoy a tour of Luxembourg City and then head to Wormeldange in the wine growing region, where we visit a wine cellar and enjoy a tasting of the local tipple. We round off the day with a relaxing boat trip on the River Moselle. Little Switzerland, Echternach & Vianden - An included three-quarter day tour of the picturesque Mullerthal region, known as `Little Switzerland'. We stop in the beautiful town of Echternach, which retains a remarkable medieval atmosphere before continuing to the charming town of Vianden, famed for it's historic castle. Trier - This three-quarter day optional tour takes us to Trier, Germany's oldest town and a former Roman settlement, where you can enjoy a stroll through the pedestrianised historic old centre. The many ruins in the town include the impressive Roman Porta Nigra, or black gate, once part of the old city walls. You will also find a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants in the town. Enjoy a welcome drink on day 2 and a farewell drink and get-together on the final night. DAY 5 Vianden/UK Depart after breakfast for a late afternoon crossing back to the UK and continue to your original departure point in the evening.
