DAY 1 UK/Malaga Meet your travelling companions at the airport today and depart on your scheduled flight to Malaga. On arrival, transfer to your hotel in Mijas, where you will stay for the next seven nights. In the evening enjoy a welcome drink and dinner in the hotel's restaurant. Meals: D DAYS 2 7 Mijas Spend time relaxing in your hotel making full use of its facilities or explore the surrounding area, from where you can enjoy our programme of included excursions as follows: Meals: B/D Mijas and Fuengirola - This half-day introductory tour includes a visit to the delightful Andalucian town of Mijas, nestled in the foothills of the Sierra de Mijas Mountains. Whitewashed houses line the charming cobbled streets and offer spectacular views to the coast below. We will then continue on to the popular beach resort of Fuengirola where you can admire the impressive beaches which span its length or enjoy a stroll along the promenade, which is lined with cafes, bars and restaurants. Ronda - Enjoy a three-quarter day scenic tour to the picturesque cliff-top town of Ronda, with its spectacular location and historic centre. The town stands on a
towering plateau which is divided by El Tajo, a precipitous gorge more than 600ft deep. Take in the fabulous views from the 18th century Puente Nuevo Bridge, which spans El Tajo, looking downwards to the waters of the River Guadalevin. On one side of the gorge stands the old Moorish town of La Ciudad, and the more modern 18th century El Mercadillo part of town. Nerja and Frigiliana - This three-quarter day tour takes you to the beautiful hill-top village of Frigiliana, which is situated in the foothills of the Almijara Mountains. Easily explored on foot, this picturesque village is a maze of cobbled streets with colourful plants and flowers decorating window ledges and balconies. Its historic centre is distinctively Moorish in appearance; enjoy wandering its winding streets and alleyways, which often lead to a bar or a restaurant, or buy local handicrafts such as ceramics and lace from a number of small shops. Continue on to the delightful coastal resort of Nerja, which boasts lovely sandy beaches and many hidden coves. Once a sleepy fishing village, its old quarter remains virtually unchanged. Its narrow, winding streets are lined with whitewashed houses and wrought-iron terraces overflowing with aromatic geraniums.
