From here, our tour takes us to the Mount of Olives, as well as the Garden of Gethsemane. Entering through the Jaffa Gate, we enjoy a walking tour of the Old City of Jerusalem as well as the Jewish Quarter. Walking along the Cardo Maximus, the 2,000 year-old restored Roman Street, we arrive at the Western Wall. There is time to view the Temple Mount area before following the Stations of the Cross along Via Dolorosa to the Holy Sepulchre. Then it's through the bazaars to Mount Zion, the Tomb of King David and the Room of the Last Supper. Meals: B/D day 7 dead sea & Massada Today we include a visit to the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth. En route, we pass the Judean desert and arrive at Massada. This is the site of an ancient fortress on a cliff-top plateau. Ascend Massada by cable car and visit the food store rooms, water irrigation system and Herod's Palace. We then arrive at the Qumran Caves, the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Enjoy a farewell get-together this evening.
