A visit to the classic, elegant cities of Italy is a must for any traveller. Our seven night tour features an abundance of stunning sights and cultural treasures, with plenty of splendid scenery on the way. From the canals and architecture of Venice, to the artistic splendour of Florence and the historic grandeur of the Eternal City, Rome, you'll be immersed in the charm and glory of this magical country.
YOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1 Meet your travelling companions at the airport and depart on your scheduled flight to Verona or Venice. On arrival transfer to your hotel in the Adriatic resort of Lido di Jesolo for a two night stay. This evening enjoy a welcome drink and dinner. DAY 2 Morning free before an included lunch (which replaces dinner this evening), then enjoy our included excursion to Venice. This extraordinary city of canals, palaces and Renaissance architecture is celebrated the world over. Y You'll see the main sights, including St. Mark's Square, the Rialto Bridge and the Doges' Palace, and have time for a stroll among the streets and piazzas, or a gondola ride through the network of canals. DAY 3 After breakfast we drive into the rolling scenery of Tuscany. En route we visit the `Red City' of Bologna before continuing to our Tuscany resort, Marina di Pietrasanta or Montecatini Terme for a three night stay. DAY 4 Morning at leisure. In the afternoon, enjoy an included visit to Pisa to see the amazing Leaning Tower. This remarkable landmark took some 176 years to complete and is truly a sight that must be seen to be believed. DAY 5 Today we include a full day excursion to Florence, Italy's delightful `City of Art' home to Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, the Ponte Vecchio, a wonderful cathedral and some fine shopping (includes city guide). DAY 6 Depart Tuscany for the drive south to the Lazio region and the city of Rome. En route we visit the impressive fortress town of Orvieto, before arriving in the spa resort of Fiuggi, in the hills of Monti Ernici, for a two night stay. The town is centred around two spas set in an attractive park, just a short walk from the main shops, restaurants and cafés. DAY 7 Enjoy our included full day excursion to Rome. You Y will see many of this ancient city's most famous landmarks, including the Colosseum, St. Peter's Square and the Vatican City, the Spanish Steps and the famous Trevi Fountain (includes city guide). In the evening enjoy a farewell get-together. DAY 8 Transfer to Naples or Rome Airport for your return flight to the UK.
