YOUR HOTEL
Y You will stay in the four star Salamis Bay Conti Resort Hotel, set in its own pleasant grounds directly on the beach. The hotel offers a high standard of accommodation and amenities include bars, restaurant, lift, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and beauty centre. Facilities include tennis courts, Turkish bath, sauna, jacuzzi, table tennis, fitness centre, billiards and water sports. All bedrooms feature private facilities, satellite TV, minibar, airconditioning, hairdryer and balcony. The hotel is a short drive to the local town.
YOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1 Meet your travelling companions at the airport and depart on your scheduled flight to Larnaca. On arrival transfer to your hotel in for a seven night stay. Enjoy a welcome drink before dinner. DAYS 2 TO 7 Free to relax and enjoy our excursion programme. The following excursions are included: Salamis City and Beach Walk - We begin this half day k excursion with a pleasant walk along the beach to the ancient city of Salamis. The city is home to a treasure trove of ruins, including a fine Roman amphitheatre. After an included picnic lunch in the city, walk back to the hotel. Karpas Peninsula - A full day excursion travelling through the old villages beneath the Five Fingers Mountains to Bogaz. You Y will see the splendid 5th century mosaics of Sipahi Basilica. After an included lunch, visit the Monastery of St. Andrew. Y You will also have time to relax on the beach. Famagusta - A three quarter day visit featuring the medieval walled town of Famagusta. Take a walk around the walls then enjoy an included picnic lunch. You will also see St. Nicholas Y Cathedral, the Venetian Palace, St. Barnabas Monastery and the Royal Tombs. Y You can also enjoy our optional excursions: Boat trip - A scenic boat trip from Famagusta along the coast to see the deserted ghost town from the sea. An included fish lunch will be cooked on board with time for swimming close to a beautiful beach (May-Oct). Capital City - A full day tour to the capital of Cyprus, Nicosia, split in two by the `Green Line' which divides the Turkish and Greek Cypriot communities. The old town is a picturesque combination of 16th century walls, pavement cafés and charming squares. You'll have free time to explore and indulge Y in some shopping. On the final evening, enjoy a farewell get-together.
