The popular resort of Bruck is situated around 60 miles k south of Salzburg and just a short drive from Zell am See. Bordering on the Hohe Tauern National Park it is an area of glorious natural beauty in the heart of Austria's spectacular Salzburgerland region. Austria's highest mountain, the Grossglockner, is just a short scenic drive away. In Bruck you'll find a range of amenities including an open-air swimming pool, tennis courts and a network of well-marked walks and mountain trails. Berchtesgaden - A fascinating full day trip featuring Hitler's mountain top holiday retreat known as the `Eagle's Nest'. Take the special Post Bus up the mountain before entering the original brass-walled lift, which whisks you to the top for incredible views. We return via the beautiful Königssee Lake, one of the most scenic spots in the Alps. On the final evening enjoy a farewell get-together. DAY 8 Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.

YOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1 Meet your travelling companions at the airport and depart on your scheduled flight to Munich. On arrival transfer to Bruck for a seven night stay. Enjoy a welcome drink before k dinner. DAYS 2 TO 7 Free to relax and enjoy our included excursions as follows: Salzburg - A full day tour to one of Europe's best preserved historic cities, set amid wonderful Alpine scenery. The historic centre has hardly changed since Mozart's time baroque domed churches, merchant houses and hidden courtyards are still dominated by the magnificent Hohensalzburg Fortress, which can be reached on foot or by funicular. Explore the old centre and discover Mozart's Square, the magnificent Dom (cathedral) and the splendid Mirabell Gardens. If shopping is your passion, then a stroll along the narrow Getreidegasse is a must. Here you will find plenty of stylish boutiques and antique shops. Krimml Waterfalls - A half day excursion to see the Krimml Waterfalls. The falls are among the highest in Europe, with a drop of some 1,250ft, forming one of the most impressive sights in Austria. Grossglockner - A wonderful three-quarter day excursion, with a scenic drive up to the glacier and incredible views of Austria's highest mountain at 12,470ft (operates subject to weather). The following excursions are optional: Kitzbühel - A full day scenic drive over the Thurn Pass to the famous resort of Kitzbühel. You'll have ample time to explore Y the elegant shops or simply relax at a street café and watch the stylish locals go by. Why not take the cable car up the famous Hahnenkamm Mountain for spectacular views of the Alps.
YOUR HOTEL
Y You will stay in the traditionally styled, family-run Hotel Lukashansl in the village of Bruck. The hotel has a restaurant, bar, lounge, lift and leisure facilities include a sauna, whirlpool and steam bath. All bedrooms are comfortably furnished in typical Austrian style and feature private facilities, TV and telephone. During your stay there will be a special buffet dinner plus a dance evening with live music.
