Alghero is located in a stunning bay on Sardinia's `Coral Riviera'. The coastline is renowned for its beautiful sandy beaches, rugged cliffs and clear blue seas. With the old town fortress and Gothic quarter, Alghero is a charming town steeped in history and proud of its Catalan origins. It is now a popular holiday destination which has retained its traditional, unspoilt character. Shops, bars and restaurants are plentiful and the busy harbour and marina are the focal point of the town

YOUR HOTEL
Y You will stay in the comfortable Hotel Calabona, ideally situated directly on the seafront and just fifteen minutes' walk from the resort of Alghero. Hotel facilities include a comfortable bar/lounge, restaurant, lift and a superb swimming pool with large sun terrace. A sauna and massage service are also available on request at extra cost. The hotel also benefits from its own private beach and boasts spectacular views over Cape Caccia. The spacious bedrooms feature private facilities, satellite TV, minibar, air-conditioning, hairdryer and balcony. A regular bus service operates from nearby the hotel to the centre of Alghero.
YOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1 Meet your travelling companions at the airport and depart on your scheduled flight to Cagliari. On arrival, transfer to your resort hotel for a seven night stay. In the evening enjoy a welcome drink before dinner. DAYS 2 TO 7 Free to enjoy our included excursions as follows: Costa Smeralda - A full day tour to Sardinia's beautiful Emerald Coast, playground of the rich and famous, which takes its name from the striking colour of the sea. Castelsardo - A half day excursion featuring this stunning hilltop town whose formidable castle offers spectacular views over the sea and the town below, with its maze of medieval streets. The following excursions are optional: Lunch with the Shepherds - Enjoy a picnic with a difference in a unique rural setting. Bonifacio, Corsica - A full day trip to southern Corsica, just a short ferry ride away. French Corsica was known as the `Island of Beauty' to the Greeks and is remarkably unspoilt, with a dramatic coastline and rugged interior. Situated on a limestone peninsula, Bonifacio boasts spectacular views of the Mediterranean from its impressive citadel, plus a delightful harbour and marina. Bosa - Three-quarter day trip enjoying the views of the scenic Riviera di Corallo drive and then free time in the picturesque riverside town of Bosa. On the final evening enjoy a farewell get-together. DAY 8 Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
