DaY 1 - Meet your travelling companions at the airport and depart on your scheduled flight to Dubrovnik. On arrival transfer to your resort hotel in Budva. DaYS 2 to 7 - Free to relax and enjoy your delightful resort or explore on our exciting excursion programme. We include an introductory walk around Becici and a visit to Budvas Old Town, the marina and the amazing old Medina, with a welcome drink at a local café. The following excursions are optional: Dubrovnik (Croatia) We spend an unforgettable day in Dubrovnik, the pearl of the Mediterranean. The magnificent fortresses and medieval walls characterise the great history of this marvellous port. A walking tour of the wonderfully preserved old town with its maze of ramparts, narrow streets, hidden squares, museums and churches will include the impressive cathedral and a stroll along the famous Stradun (promenade) to the Rectors Palace and the Franciscan Monastery. A drive along the picturesque Boka Kotorska bay concludes this memorable day. Classic Montenegro - Rich in maritime tradition, we will visit the navy museum, cathedral and St. Nicholas church in the old town of Kotor, followed by a scenic drive with panoramic views of Kotorska Bay. We stop at the oldest restaurant in Montenegro in the tiny village of Bukovica to taste the famous prsut (smoked ham) and home made Njeguski cheese washed down with a glass of local honey wine. We continue to Cetinje, Montenegros old royal capital, for a visit to Kings Nikolas Palace. Albania - Enjoy a unique opportunity to explore one of Europes lost countries. Home to a rich blend of religions and cultures, its origins are still shrouded in mystery. Our escorted tour includes Pecurice, Sukobin and Shkodra with free time to explore, before enjoying the scenic panarama of Ulcinj. Skadar Lake - Beautiful Skadar, famous for its flora and fauna, is the biggest lake on the Balkan Peninsula and a UNESCO Heritage Site. We enjoy a cruise on the lake around the picturesque islands and bays, followed by an aperitif on board before going ashore for a freshly caught fish lunch at a beach restaurant. There will be time for sunbathing and a swim before our return boat trip and drive back to the hotel. You will stay at the popular Slovenska Plaza beachside complex in Budva about half a mile from the Old Town. This comfortable medium grade accommodation consists of hotel, low-rise apartments and suites, all just a short stroll from the seafront promenade and interlinked with pedestrianised streets. Amenities include bars, restaurants, snack bars, pizzeria, shopping centre, hairdressers, outdoor swimming pools, sun terraces and tennis courts. There is also regular entertainment. All bedrooms have private facilities, TV and telephone. Not all accommodation has a lift.
