DaY 1 - Meet your travelling companions at the airport prior to your scheduled flight to Prague for a four night stay. Enjoy a welcome drink before dinner this evening. DaY 2 - We spend the day discovering Pragues historic centre, which begins with a guided sightseeing tour taking us to see Wenceslas Square, the Old Town Square with its famous Astronomical Clock and the Charles Bridge, where we will find local artists selling a variety of their handmade arts and crafts. The afternoon is free for shopping, further exploring at your own pace, or you join our optional guided walking tour of the towering Prague Castle, one of the largest inhabited castles in the world, which includes entrance to the Royal Palace and St Vitus Cathedral. Then stroll back to the Old Town via Golden Lane and the castle walls at your own pace. DaY 3 - After breakfast we drive to the magnificent medieval town of Cesky Krumlov on the banks of the river Vltava in southern Bohemia for a three night stay. Dinner in the hotel this evening. DaY 4 - Following a leisurely start, we will get to know Cesky Krumlov on our guided walking tour through the narrow winding streets, of this picturesque UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 13th century buildings have remained largely unchanged over the years. After free time for lunch, we visit the historic State castle and Chateau of Cesky Krumlov, advantageously perched up on the cliffs above the Vltava River to explore the classic interiors dating from the sixteenth century. We return to the town and visit the Gothic church of St. Vitus. DaY 5 - Relax or join our optional excursion to Ceske Budejovice, a former medieval royal stronghold, known for its beautiful large Old Square lined with quaint arcaded houses and Budvar Beer. The tall sixteenth century black watch and bell tower dominates the town. After free time for lunch, we will visit the beautiful medieval Hluboka Nad Vltavou castle. Surrounded by a landscaped park, its romantic appearance is reminiscent of Windsor Castle. We return to the hotel and enjoy a farewell get-together tonight. DaY 6 - Transfer to Prague airport for your return flight to the UK.
