DAY 1 - Meet your travelling companions in the executive lounge prior to your scheduled flight to Bangkok. DAY 2 - Arrival in Bangkok for a four night stay. Join an optional Rice Barge Cruise. Welcome drink this evening before a special Thai dinner and the performance of traditional dancing. DAY 3 - Included sightseeing tour of Bangkok and a visit to the Rose Gardens. DAY 4 - Included morning visit to The Grand Palace. Optional excursion to the floating market at Damnern Saduak. DAY 5 - Relax or join our optional visit to the River Kwai, Kanchanaburi, site of the infamous bridge. DAY 6 - We visit Uthai Thani, the former summer capital of Siam, en route to Phitsanulok for an overnight stay. Optional trishaw ride to see the famous food market at night. DAY 7 - We drive to Sukhothai, the ancient capital of Siam, continue to Si Satachanalai and on to Chiang Rai for a two night stay. DAY 8 - Morning visit to mountain tribe villages and Mae Sai on the Burmese border. Afternoon stop at the ruined city of Chiang Saen on the banks of the Mekong River and an optional boat ride. DAY 9 - Morning drive to Chiang Mai for a two night stay with a stop en route at the Doi Suthep Temple. Enjoy an optional Bamboo Raft ride along the Ping river. DAY 10 - Included visit to an elephant camp on the outskirts of Chiang Mai and perhaps take an optional elephant ride. Afternoon trip to the Chiang Mai cottage industries. DAY 11 - Transfer to the airport for the return flight to Bangkok and drive to the beach resort of Cha am. Cha am is a popular beach resort where life is enjoyed at a leisurely pace. This tour is also available over Christmas and New Year and follows the main itinerary.
