DAY 1 - Meet your travelling companions in the executive lounge prior to your scheduled flight to Cape Town. DAY 2 - Arrival in Cape Town where there will be a short orientation tour of the city prior to transferring to your Hotel for a three night stay. A welcome drink will be served on arrival. Cape Town was founded in 1652 as a victualling station for ships of the Dutch East India Company. Today it is one of the worlds most beautiful cities. It enjoys an incomparable setting between the sparkling Atlantic Ocean and the majestic backdrop of Table Mountain, one of the worlds best known landmarks. DAY 3 - Today there will be a full day optional excursion to the Winelands. This spectacular tour takes you through the vineyard covered valleys and along scenic country roads with an included wine tasting. DAY 4 - Today we have included a full day excursion on which the first stop will be for the cable car ride to the top of Table Mountain (weather permitting) for breathtaking views of the Cape. This will be followed by the dramatic journey to the Cape of Good Hope. Visits will be made to Simons Town to see the penguins and the splendid Botanical Gardens before returning to Cape Town. DAY 5 - Depart Cape Town and take the scenic drive to Oudtshoorn for an overnight stay. DAY 6 - Today there will be an included sightseeing tour of the area around the fascinating town of Oudtshoorn. This includes the spectacular Cango Caves and a guided visit to an ostrich farm. This afternoon continue to Knysna where two nights accommodation has been arranged. The Garden Route, stretching eastwards to Port Elizabeth, is one of the worlds most beautiful coastlines. It encompasses bays and beaches, towering cliffs, mountain ranges, forests, rivers and a coastal terrace adorned with magnificent trees and flowering plants. DAY 7 - Included cruise on the Knysna lagoon, (weather permitting) - between the beautiful headlands of Knynsa with views back to the town. Free

This magnificent holiday is a veritable kaleidoscope of sights and sensations. See historic Cape Town with its majestic Table Mountain and explore the stunning beauty of the Garden Route; drive through the tribal kingdoms of Zululand and neighbouring Swaziland and thrill to the sights and sounds of big game in Kruger National Park.
time this afternoon to relax and explore the shops and waterfront at Knysna. DAY 8 - Continue along the magnificent Garden Route to Plettenberg Bay with its superb beaches. There will also be the chance to walk to the Storms River Bridge. Continue to Port Elizabeth for the flight to Durban, before transferring to the your hotel, Umhlanga for an overnight stay. DAY 9 - Continue through Zululand to Hluhluwe where overnight accommodation has been arranged. Home of the magnificent Zulu Warriors since the beginning of the 17th century, and invaded by the British in 1879, Zululand is a spectacular region of hills and valleys where traditional tribal life still predominates. Distinctive beehive and rondavel homes dot the landscape, which is also home to a marvellous variety of wildlife. Inland, the game reserves of Zululand are amongst the most impressive in South Africa. In the late afternoon, take an included game drive in an open vehicle in the Hluhluwe Game Reserve, famous for white and black rhino, elephant, buffalo, leopard and lion. DAY 10 - Today we cross the border into Swaziland, a small but beautiful country bordered on three sides by South Africa, yet a totally independent and ancient tribal kingdom. It is a land of deep gorges, rushing rivers, waterfalls and forests. We will visit a Swazi Cultural village. One nights accommodation has been arranged. DAY 11 - This morning you will drive through the capital of Swaziland, Mbabane, which still preserves its village atmosphere. It is a veritable treasure trove of traditional Swazi handicrafts, including exquisite tapestries, pottery, woodcraft and soapstone carvings. Continue northwards into South Africa again and drive towards Kruger National Park. Once in the park, you will have an optional game drive. Two nights accommodation has been arranged at a hotel located on the border of the Park. DAY 12 - Situated in Mpumalanga, Kruger National Park is an internationally renowned game reserve bordered by the Limpopo and Crocodile rivers, with

Mozambique to the east. There is no excitement to quite match the thrill of seeing African game in its natural habitat, and Kruger (roughly the size of Wales) has the greatest variety of animals of any of the African game parks. It boasts 130 species of mammal, including elephant, buffalo, lion, zebra, rhino, impala, cheetah and hippo. Morning or afternoon optional game drives available. DAY 13 - A leisurely start, before continuing to Hazyview for a two night stay. DAY 14 - Today you will enjoy some magnificent scenery as you drive into the spectacular mountains. You will be able to view Bourkes Luck Potholes, Gods Window, with its spectacular view over the Low Veld, and Blyde River Canyon. Evening farewell dinner included. DAY 15 - Travel back to Johannesburg Airport for your return flight to the UK. DAY 16 - Arrival in the UK

All rooms feature private facilities and are air-conditioned where appropriate. There is a restaurant and bar in most locations and some lodges have extra facilities such as a swimming pool.
