Shanghai has to be seen to be believed. Take one of our special departures and spend three nights in this vibrant seaport, the fastest developing city in China, if not in the world. Its colourful history combines with exciting modernity and a glimpse into Chinas future. Our included sightseeing programme takes us to see the busy shopping thoroughfare of Nanjing Road, the ancient Wu Xing Ting Teahouse, classic Yu Yuan Gardens and beautiful Jade Buddha Temple with a stroll along The Bund, the citys famous riverside boulevard. We also include a full day tour by train to Suzhou on Chinas historic Grand Canal, famous for its landscaped gardens and traditional Chinese architecture. Harbin ice festival Add-on from only £479
This add-on is only available on dates marked with a =. Every winter the city of Harbin hosts a spectacular Ice Festival, featuring sculptures of world-famous buildings, animals, pagodas and more. The highlight is the Ice Lantern Festival in Zhaolin Park, which must be seen to be believed. This marvellous add-on includes three nights full board accommodation at the Gloria Inn in Harbin, plus visits to Zhaolin Park, the snow carvings of Sun Island and the ice carvings in Ice and Snow World. This fascinating add-on includes four nights accommodation, one night in Chengdu, two nights at the Wolong Nature Reserve, plus an overnight stop in Beijing prior to your flight home.
