Canada Grand Canadian Adventure Halifax to Vancouver 16 days from £2599 This superb holiday features some of the greatest sights of Canada. From the dramatic Atlantic coastline of Nova Scotia, via Montreal and Quebec City, Canada's capital Ottawa, Toronto and the breathtaking Rockies to cosmopolitan Vancouver. V YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Meet your travelling companions in the A executive lounge prior to your scheduled flight to Halifax, Canada. On arrival transfer to your hotel for a two night stay. Enjoy a welcome drink this evening. DAY 2 - Included full day tour along Nova Scotia's A historic south shore to Lunenburg. Continue to picture-postcard Peggy's Cove on the rugged Atlantic shoreline. DAY 3 - Late morning departure on The Ocean VIA Rail A train. You will travel through the night along the old Y Intercolonial Railway (ICR) route via New Brunswick and k rural Quebec to Montreal. DAY 4 - Morning arrival in Montreal. This bustling city A is dominated by Mount Royal and boasts wonderful parks, cobbled streets and great shops. We include a sightseeing tour, prior to transferring to your hotel for a two night stay. DAY 5 - Today we include a full day excursion to Quebec A T City to see the Citadelle, Château Frontenac and the Plains of Abraham, scene of the decisive battle between the French and British for control of Canada in 1759. DAY 6 - Depart Montreal for the drive to Ottawa. We A see the main attractions of Canada's capital before continuing along the shores of Lake Ontario to Toronto for a two night stay at the Delta Chelsea or similar. DAY 7 - Today we include a Toronto sightseeing tour, A T T featuring the Sky Dome, City Hall and Parliament Building. Optional ride to the top of the CN Tower for terrific views. Continue this afternoon to Niagara Falls. For the most dramatic views join an optional trip on the `Maid of the Mist' (operates mid-May to mid-Oct) or take a thrilling helicopter ride. DAY 8 - Transfer to the train station to board VIA Rail's A `Canadian' train for the journey to Jasper travelling through southern Ontario, then over the prairies of Saskatchewan. DAY 9 - Continue across the vast prairies. A one hour A stop is made in Winnipeg during the afternoon. Overnight on the train. DAY 10 - Continue through Edmonton and towards A the Rockies arriving at Jasper mid-afternoon. Transfer to your hotel for a two night stay. DAY 11 - Today we include a trip on the Whistler A T Mountain Aerial Tramway and a visit to Maligne Lake, y the largest natural lake in the Canadian Rockies. DAY 12 - Depart from Jasper and travel over the Yellow A Head Pass and around Mount Robson. Continue south to rejoin the Trans-Canada highway to Kamloops for an overnight stay. Fly from Heathrow or from your local airport DAY 13 - Continue across British Columbia through A the rugged Fraser Canyon to Vancouver for a two night stay. Vancouver boasts one of the most beautiful cityscapes in the world, sandwiched between the Pacific and majestic mountains. DAY 14 - This morning we include an introductory tour A of the city, featuring Chinatown, Gas Town, Stanley Park, and the harbour. Optional afternoon excursion to the Northshore, featuring the Capilano Suspension Bridge and a cable car ride up Grouse Mountain for breathtaking views. In the evening enjoy a farewell dinner and drink. DAY 15 - Transfer to the airport for your return flight to A the UK.
