Many sites are close to beaches, lakes or rivers  with canoes available for hire. Youll also nd cycle hire, golf, shing, horse-riding and more besides. So if the active life is for you, choose one of our Super-Active or Action and Adventure sites. Just look for the icons on the site pages. Walking Notes Written by an experienced walker and featuring a wealth of information on local history, geology, flora and fauna and detailing at least five walks. Sports & Activities Most of our sites offer a wide range of sports and activities, from organised football to fly fishing. The choices are endless. So these are just a few suggestions from the many, many possibilities. Walking Again, most of our sites offer ideal walking country. Watersports Why not try your hand at sailing, surfing and windsurfing on the beaches of the Vendee and Gascony? Scuba Diving Lessons in this popular activity with PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) recognised courses are widely available. Ideal sites: Languedoc - Argeles, La Sirene p102; Cote dAzur - Frejus, Colombier p108. A wonderful way to explore the countryside, whether you are an experienced equestrian or a complete beginner. Châteaux Notes Our Châteaux Notes recall the histories of the châteaux as well as a high scale map, detailed directions, admission prices and opening hours.
