DAY 1
South African Airlines overnight flight from Heathrow to Windhoek. On arrival transfer to the Heinitzburg hotel (p116) for one night.
From Makuti airstrip you are transferred to the luxury Onguma Tented Camp, just five miles from the Eastern gate of the National Park and a beguiling mixture of sophistication and relaxation. The camp overlooks a palm fringed waterhole and is aptly named Onguma or `the place you don't want to leave'. Each tent is spacious with luxurious bathrooms, indoor and outdoor showers, and a terrace overlooking the waterhole. An afternoon game activity on the 20,000 hectare reserve follows.

DAY 4
After a leisurely breakfast drive into the National Park for a rewarding days game viewing seeking out some of the rarest species such as the Black Rhino and Black Faced Impala, along with the resident big cats and elephants. Overnight at Onguma Tented Camp.
DAY 3
South Africa
Fly to Etosha National Park, one of the largest game reserves in Africa where quite spectacular scenery and abundant game combine to make this one of the most rewarding areas of the country to visit.
