On arrival in Antananarivo you will transfer to the Relais des Plateaux hotel for one night.

DAY 3
After breakfast take a short domestic flight to Toliaro on the south west coast, where you meet your guide and transfer to Ifaty, a fisherman's village approx. 17 miles north. Time permitting, visit the Reniala Reserve and its amazing baobab forest, whose trees are known to grow for thousands of years. Overnight at the Le Paradisier Hotel in Ifaty.

DAY 4
Travel inland towards Ranohira passing through the typical savannah and bush landscapes of the southern part of the island, as well as villages of sapphire miners and painted tombs of the southern tribe of Madagascar.

South African Airways overnight flight to Madagascar via Johannesburg arriving the next day.
