This is probably one of the most spectacularly beautiful regions of South Africa with a timeless appeal for all ages. The thrill of tracking big game in the wild is something which has excited travellers for generations. In the national park, government run rest camps provide simple accommodation in the best locations in the park perfect for safari enthusiasts or the budget conscious. There is so much to see here that you will think that one visit will never be enough, be sure to take in the Blyde River Canyon famed for its beauty where the highveld drops dramatically to lowveld as is a photographers dream.
