DAY 4
Today leave New Hampshire and head into Vermont, known as the Green Mountain State. Continue to the charming village of Stowe which has the appearance of a quintessential New England ski town, you will have some time at leisure here to explore and admire the beautiful mountain scenery. Travel on to Cold Hollow Cider Mill where you will be able to watch the cider making process before enjoying a fun tour of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory. Overnight in Burlington.
DAY 8
This morning travel south to mighty Niagara Falls, a natural wonder that crosses the USA and Canadian border, you will spend the next two nights here. This evening, enjoy an award-winning dinner show. This fun musical evening features a singing Mounty, lumberjack and other native characters whilst you enjoy a delicious meal in a log cabin atmosphere. The following day enjoy a sightseeing tour of the resort of Niagara Falls before experiencing the incredible Maid of the Mist cruise, where you will see and feel the falls up close.

DAY 5
Cross the border into Canada, your first stop is Montreal, the second largest Frenchspeaking city in the world. Take a city tour with highlights including Notre Dame Cathedral, St. Joseph's Oratory, Jacques Cartier Square and McGill University. Continue up to Mount Royal for breathtaking panoramic views over the city. Leave Montreal for Quebec, your home for the next two nights. The following morning a city tour is included. You will drive past the Chateau Frontenac, one of the most photographed buildings in North America, the Parliament and the St. Louis Arch before arriving at the Place Royale, the site of the original settlement of the city of Quebec. The remainder of the day is at leisure for you to explore this French city, you may choose to visit a museum, an art gallery, sit in a pavement café or take a horse and carriage ride around this romantic city.
DAY 10
Leave Canada and cross the border back into the USA. Travel south through New York State and Pennsylvania into Virginia and the nation's capital city Washington D.C, your home for the next two nights. A full day of sightseeing begins with a trip to the White House Visitor's Centre before continuing on to see wonderful views of the Capitol Building, the White House and Embassy Row. Then visit the poignant World War II Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the Korean War Memorial. This evening enjoy a farewell dinner before taking a twilight tour of Washington's famous monuments and memorials including those dedicated to Jefferson, Lincoln and Iwo Jima.

Morning at leisure before transferring to the airport for your overnight British Airways flight to Heathrow.
DAY 7
This morning enjoy breakfast at a local sugar shack nestled in the Quebec countryside. Learn about the traditions of maple syrup making and enjoy sampling many delicious traditional foods made with local maple syrup. Before leaving, try a favourite regional treat - maple taffy in the snow! Later, depart Quebec and journey to the Province of Ontario. Upon arrival in Ottawa, the capital city of Canada, you will embark on a city tour showcasing the regal Parliament buildings, the Prime Minister's residence, and the Rideau Canal, a water lovers paradise and the oldest continuously operating canal in North America

Fly to New York with American Airlines. Transfer on your own to the Sheraton Manhattan at Times Square for three nights or more (see p69).
