*The Tioga Pass may be closed due to weather or road conditions in which case you will overnight in Fresno or Visalia and a visit to Mammoth Lakes will not be possible.
DAY 4
Return to Wyoming and see the Big Horn Mountains en route to the town of Cody. Visit the Buffalo Bill Historic Centre (admission included) and see Old West memorabilia.
DAY 12
Drive via the Tioga Pass and then on to the stunning scenery of Yosemite National Park, home to cascading waterfalls and fragrant pine trees. Later today drive to San Francisco, one of America's most popular cities. Relax and explore this interesting city during your two night stay. Book an optional trip to Napa Valley or Monterey or just explore this lovely city by cable car.
DAY 5
A short drive this morning leads us to Yellowstone National Park. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of geysers, waterfalls, wildlife and canyons. Highlights will include Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs and Yellowstone Canyons majestic falls. Overnight Yellowstone National Park.
DAY 6
This morning we drive through the rugged, snow capped mountains which welcome you to Grand Teton National Park, continue on to the sophisticated `Crown Jewel' of the Rocky Mountains, Jackson Hole for the rest of the day at leisure.
DAY 14
Leave San Francisco and drive south to tour the charming towns of Monterey and Carmel. Continue later that day to Pismo Beach for overnight.

Depart for Los Angeles. En route you will drive through Santa Barbara which is known as the `American Riviera'. Arrive in Los Angeles in time for a city tour before arriving at your hotel early evening.

DAY 7
Travel through scenic southern Idaho to Salt Lake City in the Mormon State of Utah. See the State Capitol building and visit the famous Temple Square and Tabernacle. Overnight Salt Lake City.
DAY 16
Time for last minute shopping or sightseeing before you make your way to the airport for your United Airlines flight arriving the following day.
DAY 8
Leave Salt Lake City and head for Bryce Canyon National Park. Spend the afternoon seeing the fascinating sandstone formations set against the bright blue sky.
DAY 9
The following morning visit the dramatic rock formations carved by forces of water, wind and time at Zion National Park. Continue to stunning Lake Powell. Cross the Navajo Indian Reservation on the way to the Grand Canyon. A stop will be made at the South Rim so you can fully experience this wonderful work of nature and time and weather permitting optional Grand Canyon flights will be available locally.

DAY 10
From the Grand Canyon, descend the high Coconino Plateau into the Mojave Desert. Along the way, pass through Seligman, a town built along the famous Route 66, that looks exactly the same as it did 60 years ago. Carry on to Las Vegas for a night of fun and excitement.
GRATUITIES: Tipping is common practice in North America. We recommend small amounts for porterage on your tour and larger amounts for your driver and guide. TRAVEL TIPS: Sunhats, suncreams and sunglasses are all recommended and are essential for the summer months when temperatures can soar.
