The best way of exploring the city is by foot or by traditional cable car and daily and weekly passes are available locally. Highly recommended is bike hire and bikes are available to hire in Fisherman's Wharf , with helmets and maps provided to help you on your way. Get on your bike and cross over the Golden Gate Bridge and if you have any energy left, ride around beautiful Golden Gate Park. No trip to San Francisco will be complete without a trip over to Alcatraz Island, probably San Francisco's most popular attraction. The picturesque seaside resort of Sausalito is also worth a visit and can be reached by ferry from Fisherman's Wharf too. Back on dry land, browse around the souvenir shops at Fisherman's Wharf and boutiques and galleries at Ghirardelli Square. Climb aboard a cable car and head to Lombard Street ` The Crookest Street in the World' before arriving in Union Square. Walk around the colourful areas of Chinatown before you head out to one of San Francisco's many fine restaurants. After a fun filled stay in San Francisco head north to Napa Valley for some well deserved relaxation. Napa Valley is renowned worldwide for the quality of wines it produces and is a great place to unwind. 110
