DAY 6 TO DAY 7 ² Enjoy a scenic drive to Jasper along the DAY 1 ² Fly Air Canada from Heathrow to Calgary, arriving later the same day. DAY 2 TO DAY 3 ² This morning spend some further time Icefields Parkway, one of the most spectacular drives in Canada. Stop at picturesque Lake Louise for some great photo opportunities. Get your cameras at the ready for the drive to Jasper as you will witness mammoth mountains, pristine emerald lakes and over 100 glaciers. A stop at the Columbia Icefields is a must. Climb aboard the Ice Explorer ride onto Athabasca Glacier, which is approx. 1,000 feet thick. Enjoy the next couple of days in the charming village of Jasper. Relax in your hotel or tour Jasper and its breathtaking scenery including Maligne Lake, Miette Hot Springs or ride on the Jasper Tramway (approx. 179 miles). DAY 8 ² Drive along the Yellowhead Highway to the resort of exploring Calgary before you begin your journey in to the Rockies. Your 90 minute drive to Kananaskis will take you into the foothills of the Rocky Mountains along the Kananaskis Valley known for its rugged mountain surroundings. During your two night stay choose from numerous outdoor pursuits such as golf, swimming, tennis, horse riding and biking (approx. 60 miles). DAY 4 TO DAY 5 ² Drive into the Rockies past Canmore and Harvey Heights, to the resort of Banff for a two night stay. Visit the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, the waterfalls at Bow Falls, or take a ride on the Sulphur Mountain Gondola for breathtaking views. Sun Peaks today, a route first explored by trappers and traders. You will see Mount Terry Fox as well as Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Rockies, often shrouded by clouds. If you have time Wells Gray Park is worth exploring. As a nature reserve, the park prides itself on the untamed and pristine state of its wilderness. Continue to Sun Peaks, a year round resort catering for families and sport enthusiasts (approx. 278 miles).
