TOUR iTinERARy DAY 1: FLY Jet Airways from Heathrow via Delhi to Kathmandu, arriving the following day. DAY 3: KATHMANDU This morning visit the Pashupatinath Hindu temple and the Boudhnath Stupa. The afternoon consists of a half day city tour including visits to the Temple of the Living Goddess and Durbar Square. DAY 4: PARO Fly Druk Air to Paro, Bhutan and enjoy breathtaking views of the Himalayas. DAY 5: PARO Visit the ruined fortress of Drugyel Dzong before hiking 2-3 hours uphill through villages and forests to the spectacular Taktsang Monastery. After lunch continue through the Paro Valley to visit the National Museum, and then continue on to the Rinpung Dzong administrative centre and school for monks. DAY 6: THIMPU Journey to the Bhutanese capital Thimpu and explore the Memorial Chorten, the 15th Century Changangkha monastery and Motithang en route. DAY 7: THIMPU This morning visit the National Library, Royal Goldsmith workshop and handicraft centres. Spend the afternoon at leisure. DAY 8: PARO Drive back to Paro, en route visiting Simtokha Dzong, Bhutan's oldest building and home to the Buddhist University. DAY 9: KATHMANDU Transfer to the airport for your flight back to Kathmandu for a three night stay. The following two days are at leisure to further explore the city and its surroundings.
