Pampas Gauchos Livestock
In the vast grasslands or pampas of Argentina that extend north from Patagonia lie numerous estancias, great ranch houses surrounded by extensive farmland used for livestock and more recently crop farming. Prior to the 19th Century, the gauchos, (the Argentine equivalent of cowboys) made up the majority of the rural population and were nomadic in nature, riding and hunting wild cattle before the ownership of land became more defined in the 1800s, leading to the increase in occurrence of these captivating rural estates. Experience h Buenos Aires Ranches, from £560 per person incl. breakfast, lunch and dinner for 2 nights.
