A popular hotel with Kuoni guests since 1986, the Sheraton has attracted repeat visitors year after year offering a warm and friendly atmosphere, arguably one of the best Nile front locations and a very popular bar. Refurbishment has recently taken place of the public areas, including the reception area, the main restaurant, the bar and a new swimming pool and a kids pool built within the garden area. These transformations are sure to reinforce the popularity of the Sheraton. The warm welcome starts at the door with a band of musicians playing to your arrival and upon entrance to the lobby and reception area the Nile is already visible. Large glass doors open to terraces that overlook attractively laid gardens and the river. The beautiful palm fringed swimming pool enveloped by feluccas on the waters edge and the afternoon grill, is a haven for guests wanting to relax in view of the Theban mountains on the West Bank. The newly refurbished Karnak restaurant provides pleasant surrounds for international and Egyptian buffet breakfasts, lunches and dinners, also opening to the Nile view terrace. Other dining options include Indian and Italian, both restaurants offering excellent a la carte menus and requiring advance booking. In the gardens, there is a small shopping mall offering convenience stores and souvenirs shopping. Flood lit tennis court, a volleyball court, pool table and croquet are also available at the Sheraton. The rooms, having gone through a floor by floor refurbishment programme, are very comfortable, modern and stylish. All are airconditioned with satellite television, telephone, bath, shower, and minibar. Standard rooms are located in either the main building with a small balcony and garden bungalows (without balcony) are located around the new swimming pool. The highly recommended Nile view rooms have what we consider to be the best views in Luxor and have a small balcony. Corner suites with a large living area and balcony are available with prices on request.
