INTRODUCTION GULF COAST see & do ST PETE'S One of the most popular Gulf Coast resorts, which attracts beach lovers from far and wide. Located just outside St Petes is Fort De Soto Park, home to a seven mile stretch of beach, rated the number one nature beach in America. An historical resort, St Pete's is also home to the largest collection of paintings and sculptures outside of Spain by the famous surrealist artist Salvador Dali. CLEARWATER BEACH Just 40 minutes north of St Pete's, Clearwater is slightly smaller but still offers glorious beaches, mouthwatering cuisine and lots of activities to keep both families and adults entertained! To witness dramatic sunsets, head to Pier 60 for sunset celebrations where street performers entertain. Currently in Clearwater there are new exciting developments being built which will be somewhat noticeable during your stay. NAPLES Elegant Naples with its tree lined boulevards, grand mansions and palm fringed shores has all the sophistication of the French Riviera. For upmarket boutiques, gourmet restaurants and cafés, head to Fifth Avenue or Old Naples. On the doorstep of Naples are some fascinating national parks and nature reserves which are definitely worth exploring. TAMPA BAY From theme parks and vibrant nightlife to world class golf and shopping, all the wonders that Florida has to offer can be found in Tampa Bay. Tampa's top attraction is Busch Gardens®, an Africanthemed adventure park with wild rides and amazing wildlife. For wild times of a different nature, head to Y-bor City, Tampa's historic lively Latin Quarter, which is packed with funky shops, bars and restaurants. SANIBEL AND CAPTIVA If sailing and deep sea fishing are one of your passions, then don't miss these two beautiful islands. The perfect choice for those seeking a much slower pace of life, these castaway islands offer miles of unspoilt beaches, excellent watersports and lots of wildlife. SARASOTA AND LONGBOAT KEY Further south along the Gulf Coast you'll find the stylish town of Sarasota, affectionately known as the `Queen of the Gulf Coast'. A cultural town with theatres, an arts district and also a circus. Sarasota is blessed with soft talcum beaches and vivid sunsets.
