DAY 8
Transfer to your choice of beach destination for four nights: NHA TRANG - Fly north with Vietnam Airlines to the beach resort of Nha Trang and either the first class Sunrise Beach Resort (p56) or deluxe Ana Mandara (p57). PHAN THIET - Three hours drive north of Ho Chi Minh City, the relaxing beaches of Phan Thiet offer an excellent opportunity to unwind after the bustle of the city. Stay at the first class Blue Ocean Resort (p52) or superior first Novotel Ocean Dunes Resort (p53).
DAY 5
Fly south on Vietnam Airlines to Danang and transfer by road to the small town of Hoi An. Stay two nights at the superior first class Golden Sand Resort (p62) or deluxe Nam Hai (p63). Relax on the beautiful stretch of beach overlooking the South China Sea or take time to explore this charming town on our prebookable tour.
DAY 7
Fly south with Vietnam Airlines to Ho Chi Minh City for three nights at the first class Windsor Plaza (p48) or the deluxe Sheraton Saigon (p50). This vibrant city has emerged as the commercial capital of Vietnam and offers a mix of cafés, shops markets and sights. While here, we recommend visiting the nearby Cu Chi Tunnels, offering an insight into the intense hardship and resilience of the Vietnamese during the Vietnam War. DAY 10 Fly Vietnam Airlines to Siem Reap for three nights at the first class Sokha Angkor Hotel (p83) or the deluxe Sofitel Royal Angkor (p84). Our prebookable full day tour offers an excellent introduction to the main temples or for those looking to get a little more off the beaten track, prebook the full day trip to the temples of Bang Mealea and Bantey Srei both of these sites are less visited and provide a fascinating diversion from the main temples of Angkor.
