Fly Cathay Pacific to Ho Chi Minh City for three nights at the first class Windsor Plaza (p48) or deluxe Sheraton Saigon (p50). DAY 1
Overnight flight on British Airways from Heathrow to Beijing. On arrival you will be met and transferred to the first class Novotel Peace (p105) or the deluxe Shangri-La (p105) for three nights. We suggest escaping the modern shopping malls and taking a step back in time on our prebookable rickshaw tour through the traditional Hutong districts, discovering the lifestyle of a bygone era as you wind through the bustling narrow lanes full of small workshops and local homes. Transfer to the airport for your Air China flight to Xi'an. Arrive and transfer for two nights at the first class Grand Mercure (p105) or deluxe Shangri-La (p105). Xi'an, one of China's four ancient capitals is best known for the army of terracotta warriors that guard the tomb of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of the Qin Dynasty. DAY 12

DAY 7
Transfer to the airport for your Dragonair flight to Hong Kong for a two night stay at the first class Park Lane (p104) or deluxe Kowloon Shangri-La (p104). This modern city mixes colonial grandeur with a modern business edge. We recommend prebooking our Hong Kong Island Tour. DAY 17
Return overnight flight to Heathrow on British Airways.
