BANGKOK - LAOS - BANGKOK ON THE EASTERN & ORIENTAL
Group Four Day Tour, departs Bangkok Feb 26, Mar 25 and Oct 14 £970 per adult (based on 2 adults sharing a Pullman Superior), £776 per child (2-12 years) Includes three nights accommodation, dinner on Day 1, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Day 2 and Day 3, breakfast on Day 4. State and Presidential suites also available. Please contact us for details. Day 1 Afternoon departure from Bangkok. Begin your luxurious journey by relaxing in one of the bar cars, saloon car or in the privacy of your comfortable compartment. Enjoy afternoon tea as you travel into northeastern Thailand and the spectacular scenery of lush tropical countryside passes by you. Later that evening enjoy dinner in one of the beautiful restaurant cars, recline with a nightcap or two with your fellow guests then retire to your compartment, transformed into a cosy bedroom by your steward. Day 2 After breakfast in your compartment arrive at Hin Dat for a fascinating tour to the World Heritage Site of Phimai, one of the most important Khmer monuments in Thailand. Return to your train for lunch as you continue your journey on to Khao Yai. Here visit local vineyards and take the opportunity to taste the 'New Latitude' wines. 102
Reboard the train in the early evening in time to prepare for dinner and overnight onboard. Day 3 Arrive in Nong Khai after breakfast. A coach transfers you to Vientiane across the Mekong via the Friendship Bridge. Special arrangements have been made to clear Lao Immigration. Enjoy a full day's tour of Vientiane including lunch at a local hotel. Capital of Laos, Vientiane is a city of contrasts where French colonial architecture sits alongside gilded Asian temples. Return to the train by coach and depart Nong Khai late afternoon. Exchange stories of the day's discoveries with fellow guests over your final dinner. Overnight onboard. Day 4 Breakfast is served in your compartment before the train arrives back into Bangkok in the morning.
Day 3 Arrive at the border crossing at Nong Khai after breakfast and transfer by coach to Vientiane across the Mekong via the Friendship Bridge. The following prebookable experiences are also available. Please contact us for details and other available experiences.
