The hotel Kette lies in one of the quieter alleyways of central Venice and is only a few minutes walk to St. Marks Square and the Rialto Bridge. Originally built as a 16th Century palazzo, it is a charming and elegant place to stay. The waterbus stops are close at hand making it easy for exploring the city. The hotel is decorated in typical Venetian style with marble floors in reception and public areas, beamed ceilings and traditional furnishings. You are just footsteps from La Fenice, the 17th Century grand theatre which has twice been destroyed by fire and is undergoing painstaking restoration work. There are of course a wealth of restaurants offering delicious Italian food. Around St Mark's Square it can be quite expensive so it is worth seeking a local recommendation. The rooms are elegantly furnished and have airconditioning, television, telephone, minibar and bath or shower.
