EXPLORING TOURS
NORTH TO SOUTH
Marsala is the next stop, Sicily's westernmost town, situated in the major wine producing area of the island. A visit to one of the traditional `cantina' should not be missed. In the afternoon a short boat trip takes you to the island of Mozia, situated in the characteristic salt pans along the western coastline. Travel to Palermo for your two nights stay at you four star hotel Vecchio Borgo.

DAY 6
After breakfast the whole day will be dedicated visiting Palermo and Monreale, enjoying the treasures of Sicily's capital. This bustling and colourful city will impress you with its Norman-Byzantine architecture, busy open-air markets and maritime lifestyle.
DAY 1
Fly British Airways from Gatwick to Verona. Private transfer to Gardone on Lake Garda, Italy's largest lake, and your four star hotel Grand Gardone for a three night stay on HB. Several quaint little towns are dotted around the lake, each one is a special treat including Bardolino famous for is wine, Maderno and on to the `Garden City' of Gardone.
DAY 7
After breakfast the journey continues to Cefalù, a medieval fishermen's town on the north coast with a quaint fishing harbour, typical alleys and a magnificent Norman cathedral. Continue along the north coast passing through Santo Stefano di Camastra with its colourful pottery and Messina, overlooking the mythological Strait of Messina where Ulysses fought Scylla and Carybdis. Back to western Sicily for an overnight in Catania at your four star hotel Katane palace.
DAY 4
After breakfast your private transfer will journey through the plains of Veneto, Lombardy westward to the romantic shore of Lake Como for your three night stay at the four star Grand Menaggio Hotel. Visit the beautiful nearby gardens of Villa Carlotta. Relax on Lake Como and admire the splendour of the surrounding mountains or take of the prebookable excursions to neighbouring Switzerland and visit the glamorous alpine resort of St Moritz. The following day enjoy a boat trip to Varenna and Bellagio and visit Villa Monastero, Villa Cipressi and Villa Melzi.

DAY 8
After breakfast enjoy a brief look around the streets of Catania, and then a private transfer to Catania airport for your British Airways flight to Gatwick. At the end of your Sicily Deluxe Tour, extend your stay in Taormina for an extra five nights or more at the four star hotel Grand Excelsior Palace.
DAY 7
After breakfast your private transfer will proceed back towards Verona. On arrival you check in at the Grand Hotel to spend the last night of your tour in one of the best little cities of Italy. There will be enough time to enjoy an evening stroll around the centre followed by a delicious dinner in one of the many restaurants and bistros available.
DAY 8
Private transfer to Verona airport for your British Airways flight to Gatwick.
