DAY 7 ² Your private transfer will take you to Como station
for your first class train journey to the romantic city of Verona for a one night stay at the four star Hotel Grand (p146). Stroll through the historic centre of Verona and pick a restaurant in Piazza delle Erbe and treat yourself to a Venetian candlelit dinner.

Desenzano station for your first class train journey to Lake Como through the plains of the Veneto and Lombardy regions (approx. three hours). Upon arrival at Como station your private transfer will take you to Menaggio to stay three nights at the four star Grand Hotel Menaggio (p107). Known as the most romantic lake of Italy, Como boasts an excellent waterway transfer network to enable you to visit the nearby quaint villages of Bellagio, Varenna, Tremezzo and the glorious botanic gardens and palaces Lake Como is particularly renowned for.
