DAY 1 ² You will be welcomed aboard the British Pullman train by smart uniformed staff at London Victoria station departing on your journey for Folkestone. Relax over a three-course lunch before transferring by coach to Cheriton to board the short crossing on the Eurotunnel to France and on to Calais Ville, where the wonderful Wagon-Lits Carriages of the continental train await you. You will be shown to your comfortable private cabin where you can relax and enjoy the wonderful French countryside as you head towards Paris Gare de l'Est. It is time to dress for dinner served in beautiful restaurant cars; the delicious four-course dinners are prepared by skilled French chefs. Enjoy the pianist over a nightcap, before retiring to your inviting cabin, which has been transformed into a cosy bedroom.
DAY 2 ² By morning you will have crossed the border into Switzerland, and enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast served in your cabin. Speed through the lovely Austrian countryside during which a magnificent lunch will be served. Later in the day you will cross into Italy, to Verona, making a short stop to drop off any departing passengers. On your journey to Venice you will be served with a wonderful afternoon tea, arriving in Venice early evening to stay two nights at the five star deluxe Danieli Hotel (p150). DAY 4 ² After breakfast a private transfer will take you to the station to board the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express for your day journey to Rome. Visit the bar car for an aperitif before enjoying a wonderful three-course lunch served in one of the beautiful restaurant cars. Enjoy the changing Italian scenery. Visit the onboard boutique for a souvenir, before arriving in Rome late afternoon (Ostiense Station) for a two nights stay at the five star deluxe Westin Excelsior hotel (p161) situated on one of the capitals most celebrated promenades.
DAY 6 ² After breakfast private transfer to Rome Fiumicino airport for your British Airways flight to Heathrow or Gatwick.

DAY 6 ² After breakfast your private transfer will travel through the regions of Lazio, Campania and finally on the panoramic Neapolitan Riviera to stay at the five star deluxe Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria (p27), an ideal base from which to explore Pompeii, Mount Vesuvius, Capri, Amalfi and other fabulous historical sites. DAY 10 ² Private transfer to Naples airport for your British Airways flight to Gatwick, arriving the same day.
