DAY 6
Leave Banff today and travel west through the spectacular Glacier National Park on the Trans-Canada Highway into British Columbia. Your destination is the Quaaout Resort, a Native American resort on Little Shuswap Lake, just over 4 miles east of the town of Chase and mid-way between Kamloops and Salmon Arm. Hiking and biking trails throughout the woods surrounding the lake and hotel, allow you to explore nature at your own pace. Canoe on the crystal clear water amid the picturesque mountains which provide breathtaking views.

DAY 11
Drive to Vancouver Airport and drop off your rental car before your Pacific Coastal Airlines flight to Campbell River, on the east coast of Vancouver Island. As Knight Inlet is not accessible by road your first night will be spent in your Campbell River hotel. Enjoy a day at leisure exploring the area which offers hiking trails and salmon fishing.
DAY 7
Head back onto the Trans-Canada Highway for the trip west to Whistler, where you will spend the next three nights at the mountainside Residence Inn by Marriott. Your free city passport entitles you to discounts at many attractions including museums and adventure activities. Whistler is a natural year round playground with its crisp mountain air, beautiful lakes and lush emerald forests. There's a wide range of activities to try from thrilling adventures to simply relaxing and soaking up the magnificent scenery. See p21 for details of pre-bookable experiences including canoeing and a scenic flight. The Whistler Bike Park has trails for all levels of rider plus there are numerous hiking trails, rock climbing, fishing, golfing, jetboating and horse riding to name but a few of the other activities available.
DAY 12
Early morning transfer from Campbell River for a short 30 minute flight by seaplane to Knight Inlet Lodge. The lodge floats on large cedar booms at the mouth of the Glendale River in the spectacular wild and remote Pacific Northwest. The area is famed for its high numbers of brown grizzly bears which you can see in their natural habitat. After a brief orientation, you will embark on a late morning bear viewing boat excursion into the estuary followed by an additional bear viewing tour and Knight Inlet sightseeing cruise in the afternoon. You will be accompanied by a knowledgeable guide on all tours.

DAY 13
After breakfast return to Campbell River by float plane to connect with your Pacific Coastal Airlines flight to Vancouver. Make your own way to the superb Renaissance Harbourside for an overnight stay in this wonderful waterfront location. If you choose the four night extension package you will enjoy an additional day of bear viewing, wildlife watching and an interpretive presentation through the Kwalate River. Stay a second night at Knight Inlet Lodge and fly back to Vancouver via Campbell River on Day 14.
DAY 10
Leave the playground of Whistler this morning and head south along the Sea-toSky Highway through a spectacular glacier carved landscape of deep fjords and rugged mountain ranges, into the beautiful city of Vancouver for a one night stay at the elegant Coast Plaza Hotel & Suites, overlooking Stanley Park and English Bay. Perhaps take a walk along the harbour and Canada Place, a stroll through Stanley Park or maybe explore China Town.
DAY 11
Enjoy a last day in Canada before driving to Vancouver Airport to drop off your rental car before your British Airways overnight flight to Heathrow, arriving the following day.

Enjoy a day at leisure in Vancouver before making your own way to Vancouver Airport for your British Airways overnight flight to Heathrow, arriving the following day.
